At just 19 years of age, Lacey formed her first band, NOCTURNE, where she sang and co-wrote songs in collaboration with guitarist Chris Telkes. Nocturne, an industrial-rock band, had support from rock radio stations, won several awards, and Lacey was even voted "Female Vocalist of the Year" twice by local Clearchannel rock radio station listeners. The band was first signed to Triple X Records (whose roster included Jane's Addition), and later, Invisible Records (with a roster that included My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult). Nocturne recorded three full-length studio albums and toured extensively, playing one-off shows and/or touring with with notable acts such as Mushroomhead, Dope, Bile, King Diamond, Genitorturers, and many others. One of Nocturne's final performances was a live appearance on Vh1, for the Rock of Love Reunion Show.

LORDS OF ACID is a Belgian-American band with a sound that blends techno, acid house, and industrial music. With over 3 million albums sold, they have been critically acclaimed within the electronic, industrial, and dance music communities. In 2010, Lacey was asked to join Lord of Acid as their singer/front woman for their U.S. tour, with Thrill Kill Kult as their direct support. The tour was a huge success, hitting every major market in the country, with nearly every show being sold-out.

From 2003 to 2005 and again in 2016, Lacey was featured as a guest vocalist for PIGFACE, the industrial "super group" established by Martin Atkins. Known for its ever-changing lineup, Pigface has featured numerous musical icons, including Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Danny Carey (Tool), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Nivek Ogre (Skinny Puppy), Edsel Dope (Dope), several members of Ministry, and many others. Lacey sang and toured with Pigface on two U.S. tours: the "United Tour" in 2003 and the "Free For All" tour in 2005. Lacey also sang on the Pigface album Easy Listening, and co-wrote “Closer To Heaven” with Groovie Mann from Thrill Kill Kult.

In 2011 and 2012, Lacey embarked on her debut solo endeavor, HALO, crafting a collection of songs that seamlessly meld alternative rock with nuances of electronic, industrial, pop, and a hint of metal. This marked her first venture where she assumed the roles of both vocalist and sole writer of the music and lyrics. The resulting album, Something Evil This Way Comes, features ten original tracks and includes a music video for the song “The Stranger”. During the recording process, Lacey collaborated with Chicago-based producer Tony “Tadpole” Mysliwiec, known for his work with Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold, and L.A.-based producer Marc Jordan, who has collaborated with Slash, The Cult, and Lords of Acid. The album’s finishing touches were applied by the legendary Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer, Howie Weinberg, celebrated for his work with Nirvana, Metallica, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, the Beastie Boys, and many more.

Before reality television, Lacey was either on stage or in the recording studio. From an early age, Lacey was drawn to music. She took piano lessons, studied music theory, learned to play the guitar, joined the school choir, and learned her way around the recording studio.

In her late teens, Lacey could be found performing live on the weekends in Dallas' famed Deep Ellum. Later, she began touring the country with different bands, got signed to a label, released several albums, and wrote music that was included in film soundtracks. She also hosted live events at NAMM for Dean Guitars, and co-hosted SG Radio.
